2016 will be a significant
year for the Telethon Institute for Child Health Research with a
move to brand new premises within the new children's hospital
building at the QEII Campus.
Planning for the new look Telethon Institute is currently
underway, with funding for this exciting new development being
generously provided by both the WA State government and the
Australian government.
The new building will see the Telethon Institute housed in
state-of-the-art premises with increased space and improved access
to leading-edge technology and research facilities.
Its location within the new precinct will also enable our
world-renowned researchers to work alongside some of this state's
most innovative and progressive child health clinicians. This will
ensure strong and progressive collaboration in the fight against
childhood illness and disease.
Construction work has already begun on the new children's hospital
project at the QEII campus [watch the action here], with interior design
planning also underway. The new building is expected to be complete
by the end of 2015, with the Telethon Institute moving to its new
home at the beginning of 2016.
